Dana has her BA in Education, and her MA in English and Creative Writing with a Fiction focus. During her graduate creative work, she became an expert collaborator, an intuitive, well-researched reader and literature analyst, and a keen and thoughtful peer critique provider.
Dana also has experience as an agented author (who has herself worked through several rounds of editorial edits on multiple book projects), a #RevPit First Reader, and a critique partner to fellow authors. This resource is a downloadable PDF presentation for purchase. It deconstructs and explains the 'formula' for writing a successful query. Dana has created this resource based on her time working with authors from an editorial perspective, along with her own query writing experience. Pal Package: Query Only | $30
Choose the Pal Package and get in-line comments/edits on your query letter via a Google Docs document. A short edit letter will be attached in your email critique as well for a summary of overall feedback!
Buddy Package:
Query + Pitch | $45
The Buddy Package includes a critique of up to 3 tweet-length pitches (consider these your elevator pitches) as well as the query critique provided in the Pal Package. All edits/feedback provided will be through Google Docs.
Posse Package:
Query + First 5 | $60
Choose the Posse Package and receive the query critique provided in the Pal Package as well as a critique of your first five opening pages. In-line comments will be provided as well as a detailed edit letter containing overall feedback and editorial suggestions.
Besties Package:
Query + Pitch + First 50 | $200
The Besties Package includes a query critique, pitch critique, and detailed editorial feedback for your manuscript's first ten pages. An edit letter will be provided via email, and all in-line comments will be posted on the Google Doc.
Partners Package:
Whole Manuscript | $20/1,000 words
The Partners Package will include editorial feedback in the form of a 2-4 page edit letter highlighting developmental recommendations. It will be provided via email, and any in-line comments will be posted on the Google Doc.

For an extra $30 (flat rate fee), we can discuss the edit letter or questions you may have over a 15-20 minute video conference via Zoom or Google Meet.
