Dana has her BA in English Education and her MA in English and Fiction Writing. During her graduate creative work, she became an expert collaborator, an intuitive, well-researched reader and literature analyst, and a keen and thoughtful peer critique provider. She has enjoyed working with authors through Query Buddy Editorial for a handful of years, and several of her clients have since found literary representation.

 

Dana also has years of experience as an agented author (who has herself worked through several rounds of editorial edits on multiple book projects), has served as a #RevPit First Reader, is currently a #RevPit Editor, an essay editor at Empowerly, and a critique partner to fellow authors.

 

This experience makes her confident in helping you get your query, pitch, and/or manuscript in the best shape possible before sending them off to agents, acquiring editors, or indie/self-pub presses.

Pal Package: Query Only | $25

Choose the Pal Package and get in-line comments/edits on your query letter via a Google Docs document. A short edit letter will be attached in your email critique as well for a summary of overall feedback!

Buddy Package:
Query + Pitch | $40

The Buddy Package includes a critique of up to 3 Bluesky post-length pitches/loglines (consider these your elevator pitches) as well as the query critique provided in the Pal Package. All edits/feedback provided will be through Google Docs.

Posse Package:
Query + First 5 | $55

Choose the Posse Package and receive the query critique provided in the Pal Package as well as a critique of your first five opening pages. In-line comments will be provided as well as a detailed edit letter containing overall feedback and editorial suggestions.

Besties Package:
Query + First 50 | $150

The Besties Package includes a query critique, one logline critique, and detailed editorial feedback for your manuscript's first fifty pages. An edit letter will be provided via email, and all in-line comments will be posted on the Google Doc.

Partners Package:
Whole Manuscript | $20/1,000 words

The Partners Package includes a full developmental edit on your manuscript. Feedback will come in the form of a 2-4 page edit letter highlighting developmental recommendations. It will be provided via email, and any in-line comments will be posted on the manuscript Google Doc.

For an extra $50 (flat rate fee), we can discuss the edit letter or questions you may have over a 30 minute video conference via Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams.
